Clinical Nurse Supervisor - Intensive Care Unit (Full Time, Night)
About The Position
At NorthBay Health, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor in the Intensive Care Unit is a transformational leader who functions as the first-line shift supervisor for the unit. They have the responsibility, accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the organization's Patient Care Services Division. This role utilizes Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model, supporting the mission, vision, values, and expectation of excellence of the organization. The supervisor is responsible for leadership and supervision of direct care staff, daily operations, leading the team to meet service goals, and maintaining and promoting professional development. They delegate care to other healthcare personnel consistent with their scope of practice, job description, and competency. Other duties may be assigned, and the role works under the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
