UW Medical Center – Montlake has an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Clinical Nurse Specialist contributes to the advancement of nursing practice and the continuous improvement of patient care through: Clinical support Education Research Organizational leadership and support Professional development UNIT DESCRIPTION Bring your experience and great compassion in caring for multiple births and micro preemies—babies born before 26 weeks gestation or weighing less than 2.2 pounds. As part of UW Medicine, the NICU has access to the most advanced neonatal research. Our team has been instrumental in setting the standard for reducing risk of brain damage and lung problems in premature babies across the nation. Come work with an interdisciplinary team of neonatologists, nurses, neonatal physical therapists, respiratory care practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, other health professionals and parents as members of a baby's health-care team.
