About The Position

To provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care, utilizing a systematic planning approach, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care. The nurse will demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills to manage patient needs, identify potential problems, and adjust care plans as necessary. Responsibilities include implementing safe and efficient care for patients with complex needs, documenting care thoroughly, and acting as a resource for other staff. The role also involves establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and families, providing age-appropriate education, and coordinating discharge planning. The nurse will coordinate patient care administered by other members of the care team and promote clinical effectiveness and quality care.

Requirements

Graduate of nursing school
1 Year clinical experience (RNs with less than 12 months experience will complete the new grad requirements)
California Registered Nurse (RN) - CA Board of Registered Nursing -REQUIRED
AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association -REQUIRED

Responsibilities

Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families.
Use systematic planning, appropriate methods, and timely exchange of information with the multidisciplinary team and patient/family to coordinate care.
