Clinical Nurse Mentor, Operating Room

University Health
Onsite

About The Position

This role is for a Clinical Mentor (CM) who is a confident, compassionate, and experienced RN. The CM will work side-by-side with novice nurses, mentoring them through their first steps into clinical practice and helping them grow into strong, competent professionals. The role involves being a role model and mentor, guiding nurses through competency development using evidence-based practice and clinical expertise. The CM will also function as a bedside RN to support mentorship, assessments, and team coverage, providing feedback, coaching, and hands-on skills development. Collaboration with nursing leadership, clinical education, and other teams across the organization is expected, potentially involving travel. This is a hands-on clinical role, not a desk job, balancing mentorship with real-time patient care.
