About The Position

Carisk Partners is a specialty risk transfer & care coordination company. The Nurse Manager position oversees the Care coordination process and its associates within the Carisk Outcomes division.

Requirements

  • Strong clinical skillset, including diagnostic reasoning.
  • Strong medical writing, editing, and formatting skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Case Management Systems and/or Electronic Medical Record Systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Attention to detail in written and verbal communications.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Experience in Workers’ Compensation 3-5 years minimum, including catastrophic case management.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Management experience in managed care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing referral assignments made by care coordination assistant, assuring proper caseload distribution.
  • Tracking of report submission by direct reports to QA and assuring any necessary training needs are addressed with each associate in a timely manner.
  • Reporting of KPIs to larger clinical leadership team to reflect areas of opportunities and strengths within clinical care coordination team.
  • Critical clinical analysis of patient case active problems, risks, and barriers.
  • Monthly 1:1 meeting with direct reports to properly align on how associate is tracking against set departmental goals as well as provision of feedback on associate strengths.
  • Management and tracking of associate deadlines related to care coordination plan development, report submission, and contract deadlines with associated closure report.
  • Escalation and tracking of any user system challenges reported within the team.
  • Collaboration with other members of clinical leadership to proactively identify associate barriers, root cause analysis, and implementation of solution in conjunction with the clinical leadership team.
