About The Position

Provides quality patient care by performing as an expert practitioner, educator, and consultant. Manages clinical activities, including case management, discharge, and patient education. Establishes administrative policies and procedures for clinical practice. Supervises practice support staff.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or diploma in Nursing from an Accredited institution
Current Maryland licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure
Excellent customer service and communication skills
At least 3-5 years of clinical experience

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory and management experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Works cooperatively within own department and with other services to create a system of quality health care delivery.
Maintains current knowledge in area(s) of clinical supervision.
Supervises and provides direct patient care in accordance with accepted clinical standards while utilizing the department process.
Manages department(s) and other satellite locations with consideration for safety.
Participates in, and provides leadership for, development of policies-department of nursing and unit specific.
Determines staffing requirements and communicates those as appropriate.
Interviews and hires all personnel in department(s).
Conducts meaningful appraisal of employees in an ongoing and timely manner.
Promotes staff development and assists personnel in meeting goals and objectives.
Participates in and provides leadership in compliance with applicable TJC standards.
Demonstrates positive and effective working relationships with all health care team members.
