About The Position

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Washington is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to assume the Manager Emergency Room role. This position assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for assigned areas, focusing on the overall quality of service. The role involves planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in support of EvergreenHealth's Purpose, Mission, Shared Commitment, and Strategic Priorities. The manager is expected to embody leadership principles focused on culture stewardship, continuous improvement, staff development, responsiveness to patients, leadership growth, and work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • 5 years of clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting
  • 3 years of leadership/management experience
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or Management
  • ACLS, PALS, or ENPC and TNCC

Responsibilities

  • Ensures quality patient care.
  • Assesses and identifies opportunities to manage organizational resources with fiscal responsibility, promoting effective allocation of resources and revenue generation.
  • Manages Nursing, Social Work, Volunteer, Disaster Preparedness and Contingency Planning, Performance Improvement, Medical Record Documentation System, Standards of Care/Standards of Practice, Clinical Resources, and Regulatory Agency Activities (OBRA, State Department of Health, State Trauma Registry, and JC).
  • Develops and implements processes to manage human resources, materials, and finances within the established Emergency Department budget.
  • Is accountable for knowledge of and expertise in the management of an Emergency Department.
  • Is accountable for analyzing data necessary to evaluate delivery of care and outcome of care in support of continuous value improvement for all customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
