About The Position

Sentara CarePlex Hospital is hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for the Intensive Care Unit. The Manager will supervise and manage a 24-hour operations. The Manager, Nursing Unit is responsible and accountable for the daily operations. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.

Requirements

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
• RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or RN-Master’s Degree
• Management - 1 year
• Nursing Acute Care/Critical Care - 3 years
• RN position, i.e. Unit Coordinator, Team Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience.
• Meets any 2 years experience in a support leadership RN position, i.e. Unit Coordinator, Team Lead, or other like position may be accepted in lieu of 1 year formal management experience.
