Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or the equivalent knowledge or experience is required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, organization, time management, team building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as related database programs.
  • A minimum of three (3) years related work experience in wound care is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is also required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
  • Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse Certification (WOCN) or Wound Certification is also preferred.
  • Previous attendance at Healogics Nurse Course in Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine is preferred or training must be completed within 4 months of hire.
  • Clinical Nurse Manager onboarding course must be completed within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of clinical activities of the Wound Care Center including direction, supervision and coordination of staff, supplies, scheduling, patient care service delivery, patient care assessment, care planning, and implementation.
  • Manage performance review process, daily operations, department staff scheduling, fiscal planning, staff education, and performance improvement efforts.
  • Provide education related to wound care management to staff, patient and caregiver.
  • Work in collaboration with the Medical Director to meet the Wound Center objectives and to identify and implement improvement programs to ensure quality patient care outcomes.
  • Perform job responsibilities in accordance with all Healogics policies and standard work, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, and federal and state regulations as applicable.
