About The Position

The post of CNM 3 has a pivotal role in service planning and development, co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within the clinical area. The CNM3’s responsibilities include overseeing the quality of nursing care, the development and implementation of policy and procedures, the monitoring of activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service for the designated area(s). The CNM3 plays a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership and promoting the values of the organisation. This campaign will be used to form a panel for imminent and future vacancies (permanent and specific purpose roles).

Requirements

  • Professional / clinical leadership experience.
  • Experience in resource management, including staffing and staff development.
  • Experience in facilitating communication across healthcare teams.
  • Experience in facilitating and supporting clinical learning.
  • Experience in service planning and development.
  • Experience in co-ordinating and managing activity and resources within a clinical area.
  • Experience in overseeing the quality of nursing care.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of policy and procedures.
  • Experience in monitoring activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service.
  • Experience in providing clinical and professional leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional / clinical leadership in the designated area(s) of responsibility.
  • Oversee the management of resources including staffing and staff development.
  • Facilitate communication across the healthcare teams.
  • Facilitate and support clinical learning at ward and departmental level for new employees/current employees and student nurses.
  • Oversee the quality of nursing care.
  • Develop and implement policy and procedures.
  • Monitor activity and the delivery of agreed levels of service for the designated area(s).
  • Provide clinical and professional leadership.
  • Promote the values of the organisation.
