Under the clinical supervision of the charge nurse and under the guidance of the lead medication nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is directly responsible for, but is not limited to, carefully and accurately obtaining vital signs and initial patient history, performing routine nursing procedures (i.e. finger stick blood studies, urinalyses, pregnancy tests, and venipuncture, when appropriate), and conducting patient intake.
