About The Position

At NorthBay Health, the Registered Nurse on the Perioperative Unit provides safe, effective, quality, and excellent nursing care to patients, adhering to Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. It also requires utilizing a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team to promote, maintain, and restore health. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse on the Perioperative Unit
  • Adherence to Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model.
  • Demonstrates NorthBay Health’s True North Values: Nurture Care, Own It, Respect Relationships, Build Trust, and Hardwire Excellence.
  • Experience in the role (Steps 1-5 based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role).

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model.
  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care.
  • Use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient.
  • Exhibit NorthBay Way principles consisting of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence daily.
