Requirements

  • Work requires graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
  • All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the BSN program within seven years of their start date.
  • Exception: Registered nurses hired between July 1, 2014 and April 11, 2021 without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) are encouraged to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date but must complete the program within seven years of their start date. Registered nurses hired before July 1, 2014 are not required to enroll in a BSN program to remain in this job classification.
  • 1-2 years RN experience
  • IV/Venipuncture Fertility preferred.
  • OB/GYN, L&D, Women’s Health Experience will be prioritized and is strongly preferred
  • BLS required

Responsibilities

  • Patient care responsibilities – rooming patients, collecting histories, and charting, ensuring medications are up to date and all information is correct prior to visit.
  • Provide care in recovery/procedure area per provider orders.
  • Fulfills EOC requirements daily including safety for staff and patients.
  • Medication and treatment classes for patients.
  • Obtain authorizations and complete FMLA paperwork for patients.
  • Coordinates patient fertility cycles via nurse triage, in-basket communications, and medication refills.
  • Acts as clinical liaison between patients, clinical and clerical teams.
  • Adhere to professional standard, policies, procedures, EOC, JCAHO, and Infection control.
  • Delegate tasks and supervise activities for other licensed and unlicensed care providers.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
  • Rotating weekend requirement, no more than one weekend per month.
