About The Position

At NorthBay Health, a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides safe, effective, quality, and excellent nursing care to patients, adhering to Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. It also requires utilizing a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team to promote, maintain, and restore health.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing, BSN required.
Valid, current and unencunbered RN license by the State of California
Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required
A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required
Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients
Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills

Nice To Haves

One year of ED RN experience preferred
CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred

Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care.
Use a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient.
