About The Position

This position will be Part-Time RN Clinical Educator and Part-Time Staff RN in the Emergency Department at Mount Carmel Dublin. Mount Carmel Dublin's Emergency Department will operate in 24 beds with a mixture of adult and pediatric patients with a variety of medical conditions. The ED will provide access to patients in one of the fastest growing regions in the state of Ohio. We envision a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on exceptional patient experience while delivering evidence-based care. As the unit evolves and facility expands, a commitment to colleagues’ growth and development will remain foundational to our future success.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; or currently enrolled in a Master's degree in Nursing program with anticipated achievement within 2-3 years.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio
  • BLS Healthcare Provider training required.
  • Demonstrates leadership and teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certification(s) preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in area of specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a role model in the management of select patient populations through direct or indirect care; Acts as a leader in monitoring, evaluating and helping to establish the standard of practice.
  • Assesses the learning needs of colleagues within patient care settings in order to plan, organize, coordinate and participate in development and/or teaching of programs to meet those identified needs.
  • Develops, reviews, and revises standards of care, policies, procedures, practice guidelines, classes, and protocols of care to reflect current evidence based practice and changing technology
  • Promotes, participates in, or conducts on-going research in clinical practice.
  • Develops patient education materials that are easy-to-read/understand and culturally sensitive to ensure clinicians have the resources essential to support the educational need of the patient, family and community.
  • Utilizes all available platforms including written, electronic and web based services to provide education and promote learning including collaboration with other organizations on language access services to encompass diverse patient populations.
  • All other duties as assigned.
