About The Position

Regional West is seeking a Clinical Nurse Education Coordinator - RN to support and advance clinical education, orientation, competency validation, continuing education, and professional development initiatives across the organization. This role serves as a clinical education resource for nursing and designated clinical staff while partnering with leaders to promote regulatory readiness, staff competency, patient safety, and high-quality patient care. No two days are exactly alike for a Clinical Nurse Education Coordinator - RN. One day may be spent teaching lifesaving skills in a classroom, while the next focuses on onboarding new nurses, supporting competency validation, or preparing teams for regulatory surveys. Throughout it all, the goal remains the same: ensuring caregivers have the knowledge, confidence, and resources needed to provide exceptional patient care. Your day might begin by facilitating Patient Safety Orientation or coordinating clinical onboarding activities for newly hired nurses and clinical staff. You'll help ensure team members are prepared for success by guiding them through required training, skills validation, competency assessments, and organizational expectations. As the day progresses, you may be found leading hands-on training sessions, teaching certification courses such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS, coaching staff through clinical skills, or collaborating with department leaders to identify learning needs and close competency gaps. Every interaction is an opportunity to strengthen patient safety, improve quality outcomes, and support professional growth. Behind the scenes, you'll coordinate continuing education programs, manage training records, track competency completion, maintain learning management system data, and help ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements. Your attention to detail helps keep the organization survey-ready and supports a culture of accountability and excellence. Collaboration is a key part of the role. You'll partner with nursing leadership, Human Resources, Quality, Compliance, Infection Prevention, Occupational Health, Medical Staff leaders, and other departments to address educational priorities and workforce development needs. You may also assist with performance improvement initiatives, education-related audits, orientation tracking, and regulatory readiness activities. When needed, you'll provide backup support for Occupational Health services, employee wellness initiatives, and department operations to help maintain seamless service throughout the organization. The ideal person for this role is an educator at heart, a clinical expert, and a relationship builder. They enjoy helping others learn, thrive in a collaborative environment, and are passionate about developing the next generation of healthcare professionals while advancing safe, high-quality patient care. At Regional West, the Clinical Nurse Education Coordinator - RN plays a vital role in shaping the employee experience, advancing professional practice, and helping caregivers deliver the highest level of care to our patients and communities.
