About The Position

The Clinical Coordinator – Emergency Department-Evening position at Swedish Hospital is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week, with an evening shift from 3pm to 3:30am, including rotating weekends. This role positively contributes to safety outcomes and promotes a high-quality patient experience by managing day-to-day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput. The coordinator may assume direct patient care if necessary and is accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s). They will guide and direct a team of caregivers in providing high-quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for discharge. Additionally, the role involves guiding staff development through teaching, mentoring, and counseling both new and experienced staff, focusing on clinical and customer loyalty skills, and taking the lead on clinical performance management.

Requirements

Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
BLS/CPR certification required
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in appropriate clinical setting required

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred
Prior management experience preferred
