About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Labor & Delivery Clinical Nurse Coordinator for an exciting Direct Hire opportunity in Dickson, TN. This role involves coordinating and overseeing patient care activities during the assigned shift, assisting with admission, transfer, and discharge processes, and monitoring the quality of nursing care. The coordinator will collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency, promote a patient-first culture, and support employee engagement initiatives. Responsibilities also include interviewing, onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members, assisting with staff scheduling and labor management, and supporting inventory management. The role requires providing leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to nursing staff.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Previous leadership experience in Women's Services, Labor & Delivery, NICU, or Mother-Baby units required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee patient care activities during the assigned shift
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient throughput
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided within the department
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
- Promote a patient-first culture and participate in service recovery efforts
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including staff rounding and performance improvement activities
- Participate in interviewing, onboarding, training, and mentoring new team members
- Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient census and staffing requirements
- Support inventory management and ensure appropriate availability of supplies and equipment
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical expertise to nursing staff during the shift
