About The Position
This role is for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Cardiovascular Medical Surgical Telemetry unit at Glenbrook Hospital. The position is full-time, involving nights and evening rotational shifts with rotating weekends. The coordinator will contribute to safety outcomes and patient experience, manage daily clinical operations and unit workflow, and be prepared to provide direct patient care if needed. They will be accountable for patient care outcomes, guide a team of caregivers, and mentor staff for clinical and customer loyalty skills. The role also involves leading clinical performance management.
Requirements
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the state of IL required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in appropriate clinical setting required
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred
- Prior management experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
- Manage day to day clinical operations and unit workflow/throughput
- Would assume direct patient care if necessary
- Be accountable for the outcomes of care for patients in a specific clinical care area(s)
- Guide and direct a team of care-givers in providing high quality, individualized care to the patient and family, while preparing them for discharge
- Guides staff development by teaching, mentoring and counseling with new and experienced staff, for both clinical and customer loyalty skills
- Takes lead on clinical performance management
