About The Position

The Department of Neuropsychology at the Institute of Living/Hartford Hospital is seeking a full-time clinical neuropsychologist to join the Ayer Neuroscience Institute Memory Care Center in Wethersfield, CT. This role is a collaboration between the Institute of Living and Hartford HealthCare’s Ayer Neuroscience Institute, focusing on integrating behavioral health services into medical settings. The neuropsychologist will be a key member of the comprehensive care team, conducting outpatient neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for adult patients with Memory Disorders/Neurodegenerative diseases. Responsibilities include gathering historical information, analyzing and interpreting data, completing documentation, and providing feedback to a multidisciplinary team (neurology, social work, geriatric psychiatry) to enhance understanding of brain function, inform diagnosis, and develop treatment plans.

Requirements

  • Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD.) or Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.D.) from an APA-accredited institution
  • Completion of a two-year clinical neuropsychology fellowship that conforms to the Houston Conference Guidelines and/or be eligible for ABPP in clinical neuropsychology
  • Licensed to practice psychology in the state of Connecticut
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Provision of comprehensive clinical neuropsychological assessment services, including the gathering of relevant historical information, administration of appropriate testing measures, analysis, integration, interpretation of data, and completion of timely, detailed, and accurate documentation.
  • Participation in departmental staff meetings.
  • Participation in teaching activities (i.e., seminars) and, if desired, supervision of students at all levels of training.
