This job involves receiving and preparing specimens according to standard protocols and procedures, performing laboratory tests and calculations to provide data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, performing quality control procedures and evaluating test performance and results, calibrating, maintaining and monitoring equipment used in analytical determinations, performing phlebotomy procedures as appropriate, and maintaining confidentiality of patient related information. The role requires the individual to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, adhering to regulatory compliance guidelines and accreditation standards. It also includes participating in performance improvement opportunities and supporting business development and cost reduction initiatives.
