About The Position

CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join their team. This role is ideal for medical professionals looking to supplement their income and make a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. The Clinical Medical Assistant Programs run for 8-10 weeks, and applicants must be available during weekday morning schedules, specifically Monday-Friday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm. No prior teaching experience is required.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
• Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
• Front office experience.
• Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
• Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
• Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
• Comfortable with computers and technology.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
• Assist in student learning outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
• Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor.
• Grade class assignments and exams.
