About The Position

CALRegional is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated part-time Clinical Medical Assistant Lead Instructor to join their team. This role is ideal for a medical professional looking to supplement their income and make a significant impact on aspiring healthcare professionals. The Clinical Medical Assistant Programs run for 8-10 weeks, and instructors must be available during the weekday evening schedule of Monday-Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. The company is passionate about changing lives and helping build the essential workforce.

Requirements

5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a directly related field required.
Familiar with A&P, Medical Terminology, Basic Pharmacology and Medical Math.
Front office experience.
Back-office procedures EKG, Urine, Vitals, BPs, Temps, Injections, Adult-Pediatric, minor wound trays, and bandaging experience.
Must be energetic and able to deliver instruction passionately.
Ability to mentor students and hold them accountable to program standards.
Comfortable with computers and technology.
Highly organized and detail oriented.
Current CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

No teaching experience required.

Responsibilities

Advanced student learning through exemplary instruction by following an established course outline.
Assist in student learning outcomes.
Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective teaching/learning strategies.
Maintain appropriate standards of professionalism and conduct.
Facilitate all required skill labs with an assistant skill instructor.
Grade class assignments and exams.
