About The Position
The Clinical Manager is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient-family centered care. The Clinical Manager functions as a resource person for Clinical Coordinators and staff members and provides necessary education, training, competency validation, and performance reviews of individual members of the nursing staff. Assumes responsibility for the overall quality of nursing care provided by specified units. Makes decisions regarding patient care activities in area of responsibility. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the oversight of the department budget and management of staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
- Minimum of 3 years nursing practice in an Acute Care setting highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing management, preferably in a Clinical Coordinator/Charge Nurse role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Computer skills.
- Basic finance knowledge.
- Basic typing skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Acute Care setting.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Financial competence.
- Sound management abilities.
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others.
- Ability to resolve complex issues through utilization of appropriate communication techniques.
- High energy, outgoing, and self-starter.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training.
- Advance Cardiac Life Support preferred.
