About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center leadership team in the role of Clinical Manager. The clinical manager combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. This role is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The incumbent will provide strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit, leading an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards. This is a fully onsite role, Monday-Friday, day shift.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience across preoperative, postoperative, and intraoperative settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
