About The Position

The Clinical Manager is responsible for patient care for all patients in your assigned location/region. Your duties will primarily include supervising all day-to-day administrative and clinical tasks including maintaining patient care plans, filing medical records, ensuring accurate billing for services, and assigning cases and employee schedules. Secondarily you will engage in external processes such as supporting teachers, staff, and school administrators by working with students with behavior challenges in the classroom. In this role, you may develop behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), conduct internal staff trainings, analyze outcomes measures for high fidelity treatment, conduct functional behavior assessments, and offer strategies to teachers and behavior techs to meet students’ individual behavioral needs. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will also be an exceptional communicator, with a strong understanding of budgeting and performance evaluation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Master’s degree in behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with various special needs.
  • Appropriate behavioral intervention strategies
  • Learning theories and instructional methods
  • Ethics, laws, and regulations of acceptable behavior interventions
  • Developmental processes of children, adolescents, and adults
  • Interpersonal skills needed to manage crisis situations
  • Technology, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ABA software platforms
  • Correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Lead a team of BCBAs, Midlevels, and RBTS/BTs
  • Use organizational behavior management (OBM) to shape agency staff behavior
  • Assess situations and make proper judgments
  • Understand behavioral situations and react accordingly in an ethical manner
  • Objectively analyze crisis situations
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations
  • Handle aggressive and self-injurious behaviors of clients
  • Communicate effectively and make recommendations to various agency staff and outside professionals, groups, or individuals
  • Perform general clerical duties including maintain accurate client records and preparing clear and concise reports
  • Communicate effectively in both oral and written form with a diverse group of clients, parents/caregivers, school personnel, and other agency staff
  • Use a computer and behavioral software to prepare documents and maintain client records
  • Work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines
  • Follow guidance from senior level staff to enhance own professional development
  • Work with a diverse team of professionals in a respectful manner
  • Supervise clients and clinical staff during treatment session

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct behavioral services to clients in individual and schools as needed
  • Provide Supervision to clients in individual and schools as needed
  • Conduct behavioral and skills assessments and design treatment programs for clients as needed
  • Facilitate clinical case review team meetings with clinical team members
  • Review reports and treatment plans of BCBAs to ensure quality behavior analytic services and write reports and treatment plans, if needed
  • Collect data and graph data as instructed using technological programs, such as Microsoft Excel or behavioral software (e.g., Rethink, Central Reach)
  • Observe and supervise BCBAs, mid-levels, and BTs/RBTs on a regular basis
  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
  • Sit in and present data on client progress at IEP meetings and other external client progress related meetings.
  • Conduct and administer crisis management trainings on an as need or as requested basis
  • Facilitate and develop staff development and onboarding trainings
  • Serve as the Ethics officer and/or compliance officer
  • Facilitate staff development trainings
  • Serve as the liaison between parents/guardians, teachers, school administrators, and clinicians when disputes in clinical treatment arise
  • Monitor the usage of billable hours of staff to maximize treatment hours for clients (utilization reports)
  • Conduct performance reviews of all clinical staff
  • Maintain and protect the well-being of all clients during treatment sessions and when emergency crisis situations arise
  • Be able to work with a diverse team of professionals to provide the best behavioral services possible to clients
  • Attend staff trainings and agency meetings voluntarily
  • Designing clinical processes and procedures for the organization.
  • Manage and assign caseloads and schedules.
  • Monitoring metrics such as productivity and profitability for the region.
  • Assess employee performance and if necessary, discipline employees in a constructive manner.
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee the delivery of patient care services.
