Requirements

  • LCSW or LCPC with active Maine licensure (required)
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
  • 5+ years of behavioral health experience and 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, documentation, and regulatory standards (BHH experience a plus)
  • Experience with program oversight, quality improvement, and team leadership
  • Solid operational and financial management skills
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, community-based environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with EMRs and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a multidisciplinary BHH team including clinicians, nurses, care coordinators, and peer/family support staff
  • Ensure program compliance with all MaineCare, state, and federal requirements
  • Oversee quality, documentation standards, and audit readiness, including regular chart reviews
  • Manage program operations, budget, and overall performance
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and staff development
  • Partner with leadership on program strategy, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a small level of direct service to stay connected to patient care
  • Strengthen relationships with health home practices and community partners
  • Promote integrated, person-centered care and a highly engaged team culture
