About The Position

The Clinical Manager of the Infusion Center has management oversight for the Infusion Center. This includes incorporating principles of continuous quality improvements for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating unit operations, patient care and staff performance. The Clinical Nurse Manager works collaboratively with administrative staff, nursing, physicians and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania or New Jersey based on work location.
  • Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience with demonstrated leadership abilities required.
  • Sound clinical knowledge in area to be managed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate ability in Human Resources and Financial Resource Management.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Currently Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing degree and current Oncology Certification (OCN) preferred or enrollment in a Bachelors of Nursing Degree Program within 24 months of employment of position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs direct administrative functions for assigned infusion department.
  • Manages daily operations in a systematic manner to improve operational effectiveness and ensure quality of services.
  • Develops implements and evaluates short and long range performance improvement and operational goals and objectives for the department.
  • Implements policies, procedures, rules and regulations and recommended practices and ensures that clinical practice standards are met.
  • Analyzes and responds accordingly to unit specific performance, outcome and financial data.
  • Assists in identifying capital and operational budgets.
  • Selects, motivates and retains staff; initiates formal recognition plan.
  • Establish and maintain the provision of outstanding customer service as a performance expectation for all staff.
  • Develops, evaluates and adjusts current and future staffing needs in collaboration with other Network Infusion Centers and/or Director of Infusion Services to respond to the needs of the patients served in these departments.
  • Collaborates with network Clinical Nurse Managers to initiate actions, new approaches, policies and programs to facilitate continual improvement of network infusion services.
