About The Position

This position is responsible for providing individual clinical services to students. This position provides services in-school or virtually depending on the needs of the individual student or family. This school-based position completes weekly communication with the parents and/or guardians of the clients. They will also complete clinical documentation of all services.

Requirements

  • Minimum master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or a related Human Service field required
  • 2+ years post bachelor’s experience directly in Human Services working with high-risk youth
  • Non-restricted license by the Florida Board of CSW/MFT/MHC as a Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists, and or Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)

Nice To Haves

  • Preference is given for a non-restricted license by the Florida Board of CSW/MFT/MHC as a Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Psychologists, and or Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC)

Responsibilities

  • Conducts assessment, prepares treatment plans; provide case management, as appropriate.
  • Facilitates evidence-based interventions through individual, family, and group therapy sessions, clinically assesses and re-assesses individuals as required, and participates in the treatment team working towards client-driven goals.
  • Ensure that after care services are provided as appropriate.
  • Must have a moderate level of autonomy.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize a variety of IT systems.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across programs with a moderate level of internal and external communication.

  • Provide individual counseling based on need to all assigned cases, provide services to the family as needed.
  • Complete documentation related to provision of counseling services within 24 hours of sessions.
  • Complete client follow-up and feedback to the referral source regarding the progress of the client as assigned by the program supervisor and in accordance with HIPAA (i.e., written summaries on the status of cases, if required).
  • Ensure assessments, treatment plans, and treatment plan reviews are completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, case staffing, and multidisciplinary team staffing as scheduled/assigned.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with referral sources, service providers, and other community agencies.
  • Observation of students in the classroom in order to complete behavioral intervention plans.
  • Providing emergency support to school district personnel with students (as a member of the crisis support team).
  • Complete other administrative tasks as assigned or as necessary to ensure that clients receive necessary services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director and/or Executive Leadership Team, if needed.
