About The Position

Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals, a division of Select Medical, is seeking a Clinical Liaison (RN/RRT) to advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process. This role involves collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs, serving as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities, and coordinating care plans with physicians and families. The Clinical Liaison will also facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive salary plus uncapped monthly bonus incentives and an extensive onboarding & training program.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
  • Advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs.
  • Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities.
  • Coordinate care plans with physicians and families.
  • Facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.
