Requirements

  • Clinical Licensure required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous marketing/sales experience preferred
  • Previous clinical experience preferred with demonstrated skills in clinical assessment and EMR systems.
  • Formal Sales Training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive patient admissions by building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources, including physicians and healthcare facilities.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives.
  • Identify new referral opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate the hospital’s clinical strengths in treating medically complex patients.
  • Spend the majority of their time in the field conducting presentations, evaluating potential patients, and fostering long-term partnerships to support consistent referral growth aligned with clinical outcomes.
  • Assist and coordinate in-take and pre-admission screening process.
  • Perform on-site (typically in referring facility) clinical judgment to determined appropriateness of patient for admission.
  • Communicate to patients and families rehabilitation and facility options.
  • Communicate to patients determined appropriate for admission the patient’s expectations and requirements for participation.
  • Secure information relating to patients resources and benefits.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth, development, and the aging process for the planning and delivery of age-appropriate care.
  • Function as initial contact for external case management and discharge planner personnel with payors and hospital facilities.
  • Complete face to face, in-service education contacts to physicians.
  • Complete face to face, in-service educational contacts to case managers, and other professionals.
