Clinical Liaison (RN / RT)
About The Position
Clinical Liaison ( RN / RRT ) at Select Specialty Hospital, a Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH). This role involves advocating for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. The liaison serves as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, they coordinate care plans with physicians and families, facilitate patient transfers, and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience, plus uncapped monthly bonus incentives. An extensive onboarding and training program is provided. Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.
- Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.
Nice To Haves
- Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
- Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
- Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
- Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
Responsibilities
- Work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
- Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
- Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
