About The Position

Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals, a division of Select Medical, cares for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care. As a Clinical Liaison (RN/RRT), you will advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. You will serve as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, you will coordinate care plans with physicians and families. Additionally, you will facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with a competitive base salary of $70,000 - $82,000 plus uncapped monthly bonus incentives. We offer an extensive onboarding and training program.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License. Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process by removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
  • Advocate for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs.
  • Serve as a resource for healthcare professionals through fostering relationships within medical facilities.
  • Coordinate care plans with physicians and families.
  • Facilitate patient transfers and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care.
