About The Position

The Clinical Liaison (RN or RT/RRT) at Select Specialty Hospital/Regency Hospital Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH) advocates for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. This role serves as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, the liaison coordinates care plans with physicians and families, facilitates patient transfers, and addresses barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. The position involves working with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay, utilizing strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills. The liaison performs clinical assessments of referred patients and counsels with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one. They partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process by removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.
  • Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience.
