About The Position

Clinical Liaison ( RN / RRT ) at Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus Victorian Village in Columbus, OH. This role involves advocating for referred patients in the pre-admission process by collaborating with clinical teams to assess patient needs. The Clinical Liaison serves as a resource for healthcare professionals by fostering relationships within medical facilities. With clinical expertise and problem-solving skills, they coordinate care plans with physicians and families, facilitate patient transfers, and address barriers to accessing specialized post-ICU care. At Select Specialty/Regency Hospitals, a division of Select Medical, the focus is on caring for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Respiratory Therapist (RT) License.
  • Ability to complete clinical assessments of medically complex patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated success in patient advocacy.
  • Superior communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Prior healthcare marketing or business development experience is preferred, but extensive training is provided on this piece.
  • Will consider other designations like LPN, PT, OT, etc., upon further review.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicians, discharge planners, and patients' families to plan the best continuum of care after an ICU or post-surgical stay by utilizing strong clinical background, payer knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
  • Perform clinical assessments of referred patients, then counsel with patients' families to assist them in making the best care decisions for their loved one.
  • Partner with hospital case managers and physicians to create a smooth pre-admission and transfer process through removing payer-related and operational barriers for patients getting into our highly effective level of care.
