About The Position

NYC Health + Hospitals, in collaboration with the Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY), is accepting applications for the 2027 – 2028 class of Clinical Leadership Fellows. The NYC Health + Hospitals Clinical Leadership Fellowship is a 12-month program designed to cultivate the next generation of clinical leaders in quality, population health, and health care administration. This program is specifically for post-residency physicians (graduates of ACGME-accredited residency programs or current residents on track to graduate by June 2027) and combines academic learning with practical, hands-on experience. Fellows will be placed in NYC Health + Hospitals’ Central Office or a Facility Office to gain practical work experience, participate in leadership meetings, and develop and lead a significant quality improvement or population health project. The Fellowship aims to equip participants with the skills needed to advance hospital system quality improvement and strategic leadership initiatives. Fellows will learn from diverse clinical and administrative leaders across NYC Health + Hospitals, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate with current decision-makers and assist in implementing hospital operations-oriented projects and improvements.

Requirements

  • Any graduate of an ACGME-accredited residency program
  • Current resident on track to graduate from an ACGME-accredited residency program by June 2027

Responsibilities

  • Acquire hands-on, practical work experience in NYC Health + Hospitals’ Central Office or a Facility Office.
  • Participate in leadership meetings.
  • Develop and lead a substantial quality improvement or population health-oriented project.
  • Learn skills necessary to advance hospital system quality improvement and strategic leadership initiatives.
  • Work with current decision makers and assist in implementing various hospital operations-oriented projects and improvements.

Benefits

  • Salary = $110,200 for 50 weeks of employment (paid bi-weekly) and based on 40-hour work week.
