Clinical Leader Intern - Milpitas
About The Position
This is a hands-on internship designed for future Clinical Leaders in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Clinical Leader Intern supports the design and delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services for children with autism spectrum disorders and/or related developmental disabilities. Working under the supervision of a licensed or credentialed Clinical Leader, this role assists in implementing treatment plans aligned with physician recommendations across home, school, and other natural settings. The role offers a clearly mapped pathway that blends direct care, mentorship, and early leadership exposure, with support from strong clinical, operational, and training partnerships. CSD focuses on meeting children where they are using ABA to help them grow through connection, compassion, and consistency, living by their TRUE values: Transparency, Respect, Understanding, and Excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Child Development, Childhood Education, Special Education, or Pediatric Therapy (Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy), or a closely related field
- One of the following experience pathways: 2+ years of related professional experience implementing behavior modification intervention services, or 1+ year of related professional experience implementing behavior modification intervention services and 12 semester units in Applied Behavior Analysis, or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to complete training, documentation, and physical requirements of the role
- Proof of vaccinations (MMR, Varicella, COVID – CA mandated)
- Comfort working with diverse populations

- Pursuing or planning to pursue a degree or certification in ABA or a related field
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 ABA services using play-based, evidence-based strategies
- Follow individualized treatment plans designed by Clinical Leaders
- Support skill development in communication, socialization, and daily living skills
- Deliver services in homes, schools, centers, and community settings
- Carry a limited caseload with added responsibility, supported by senior clinicians
- Participate in joint sessions, shadowing, and in-field coaching opportunities
- Assist with documentation review, session preparation, and treatment fidelity
- Support parent education conversations alongside Clinical Leaders
- Collaborate with Training and Operations teams as part of your learning experience
