Clinical Lead, Outpatient Indiana- Hybrid
About The Position
Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana is creating a new outpatient behavioral health program focused on exceptional clinical care rather than high productivity expectations. This role is designed for therapists who love their clinical work but are ready to grow into leadership. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding clinician eager to shape a team, mentor others, and build a program from the ground up. The position involves approximately two days onsite per week at either the Plainfield or West Indianapolis location, with the remaining time spent working remotely. The Clinical Lead will maintain a small therapy caseload and lead a team of fewer than five therapists, with an Operations Coordinator handling operational tasks. The role focuses on clinical excellence, team support, and improving client care, serving as a primary resource for therapists on challenging cases, documentation, evidence-based practice, and professional growth.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in Indiana (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent)
- At least two years of outpatient behavioral health experience
- Passion for both clinical work and leadership
- Strong clinical judgment and the confidence to work independently
- Excitement about building something new

Responsibilities
- Maintain a manageable outpatient therapy caseload
- Lead, mentor, and support a small outpatient therapy team
- Consult on complex clinical cases and documentation
- Promote evidence-based practice and high-quality treatment planning
- Help onboard and develop new therapists and interns
- Partner with leadership to build and continuously improve the outpatient program
