The Clinical Lead Athletic Trainer will act as a resource and demonstrate leadership in day-to-day work activities within the Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine department. This role involves training and orienting departmental support staff, assisting with human resource responsibilities such as interviewing, selection, staff development, performance feedback, and conflict resolution. The Clinical Lead will also serve as a clinical and department resource, mentoring staff, developing training guidelines, and promoting rehabilitation programs. Key responsibilities include performing injury assessments, communicating with patients and the medical team to establish and implement care plans, monitoring outcomes, and completing all required documentation. The role also involves preparing for and assisting physicians with injection procedures, providing post-operative wound care, and performing cast/durable medical equipment applications and removals. The position requires the ability to work with a diverse patient population and adapt to varying work environments.
