Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Hematology - Nights
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for its Hematology Lab. Laboratory professionals provide high-quality treatment support and work alongside nationally accredited colleagues, using modern approaches to laboratory testing and quality improvement. The Hematology Lab features Sysmex XN9000 technology and has a team of 48 Laboratory Technologists. The position is based at the Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights and works overnight from 12 a.m. to 8 a.m., with alternate weekends and rotating holidays. A competitive sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available; new graduates are eligible, the experiential bonus is commensurate with experience, and an additional bonus is offered for the night shift.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent curriculum.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license from the New York State Education Department.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- ASCP certification.
