Follows established procedures to ensure laboratory quality control and compliance with professional standards of practice. The role involves assessing competency of team members, performing accurate and appropriate testing of specimens, managing resources effectively, and potentially instructing student technologists. The technologist also ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, serves as a resource to staff, and reports test results in a timely manner.
