The starting annual salary for this position is $59,049 and this will include an additional geographic differential of $2.20/hr and an additional assignment differential of $4.00/hr. Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting and performing complex laboratory testing.
License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist in the State of New York; or Eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of New York.
Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related health care discipline and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Technician.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of laboratory tests using both automated and manual testing methods.
Analyze and interpret test results that support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Process and evaluate blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and other specimen types.
Conduct quality control testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
Support specialized testing areas, including cytology and bone marrow specimen processing.
Provide bedside support during procedures involving the collection of cytology or bone marrow specimens.
Perform limited blood banking responsibilities with advanced training, as assigned.
Ensure laboratory testing is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
Assist with the implementation and validation of new laboratory procedures and processes.
Review the work of less experienced team members and help maintain high-quality laboratory practices.
Participate in training and onboarding activities for students and new employees.
Maintain accurate documentation and records required for laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems, improve workflows, and support exceptional patient care.
