Clinical Laboratory Technician 2, HMC Phlebotomy & Specimen Processing Services Team
About The Position
The UW Medicine - Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology (DLMP) in Seattle, WA has a fantastic opportunity for a Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) 2 with the Phlebotomy & Specimen Processing Services (PSPS) Team at Harborview Medical Center. As a CLT 2, you will play a vital role on the PSPS Team by coordinating workflow of the preanalytical and technical activities for the Department’s send-out testing to referral labs. You will also handle problem resolution of specimens and collaborate with the Clinical Administrative Support Team and Lab Medicine Residents to ensure appropriate processing, shipping, and billing of undefined send-out tests. Finally, you will engage in CLT 1 duties, which include phlebotomy and specimen collection.
Requirements
- Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) 2 position.
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection experience.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating workflow of the preanalytical and technical activities for the Department’s send-out testing to referral labs.
- Handling problem resolution of specimens.
- Collaborating with the Clinical Administrative Support Team and Lab Medicine Residents to ensure appropriate processing, shipping, and billing of undefined send-out tests.
