Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
About The Position
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist observes and performs a variety of laboratory tests used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role also operates and maintains equipment, performs and evaluates quality control, discusses and reviews patient results, and participates in special projects as needed. Full-time and regular part-time positions are eligible for a sign-on bonus. The stated pay range is $53.39–$75.15 per hour; placement within the range may depend on skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and comparison with employees in the same role. Newly hired employees are most often placed below the midpoint. Community Memorial Healthcare is a community-owned, not-for-profit health system serving west Ventura County. It includes Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, Ojai Valley Community Hospital, and a network of primary and specialty care health centers.
Requirements
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Completion of a Clinical Laboratory Scientist program.
- Ability to perform venipuncture.
