Requirements
- BS in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline.
- A minimum of two year of experience working in a clinical laboratory.
- Strong foundation in mass spectrometry, and analytical methods.
- Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry instruments and chromatography systems
- Experience with sample extractions and biochemical assays
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine sample‑preparation workflows optimized for mass‑spectrometric analysis.
- Support analytical and functional characterization using mass‑spectrometry–integrated assays.
- Maintain detailed electronic lab notebooks, SOPs, and analytical reports.
- Performs clinical laboratory duties to test patient samples.
- Prepares specimens for analysis and organizes tests to be performed.
- Prepares and properly labels reagents required for laboratory testing
- Reviews test results, maintains legible work records, and enters findings into the laboratory information systems.
- Performs routine preventative maintenance on instruments and equipment’s according to established schedule and procedure
- Verifies proper instrument function by checking and calibrating lab instruments and documents data.
- Records on instrument log any repairs, replacement and maintenance performed on laboratory instruments.
- Abides by laboratory safety policies and procedures.
