About The Position
Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist with experience in Blood Bank, Chemistry, and Hematology for our Laboratory Department. This is a per diem, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Clinical Lab Director.
Requirements
- A current California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist License - required
- Proficiency in both written and oral English
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a clinical lab or hospital setting preferred
- ASCP National Certification - preferred
Responsibilities
- Assists in the operation of the hospital laboratory by overseeing and performing routine tests in a section of the laboratory.
- Assumes responsibility for the accuracy of results and the appropriate documentation of patient, quality control, and maintenance data.
- Consults with the nursing and medical staff as needed.
