Clinical Laboratory Scientist Trainee
About The Position
As our Clinical Lab Scientist Trainee, you will assist the Laboratory Supervisor. Every day you will be expected to perform moderate and high complexity testing in areas of Blood Bank, Chemistry, Coagulation, Hematology, Microbiology, Serology and Urinalysis following established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis and result reporting for patient specimens. To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a strong scientific foundation, advanced technical proficiency, exceptional problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Your paramount commitment will be to accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university in Chemistry, Biology or a related field which meet the requirements of LFS.
- Above average communication and organizational skills.
- Medical terminology, basic computer terminology and data entry skills.
- Approved for Clinical Laboratory Scientist training through the State of California and San Jose State University.
Responsibilities
