Cliical Laboratory Scientist I
About The Position
Performs a variety of laboratory tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. This position has been designated as safety sensitive and cannot be filled by a candidate who is a current user of medical marijuana. Arkansas Children's is a tobacco-free workplace. Requirements
- Associate Degree or Equivalent Experience
- Entry Level - Experience not Required.
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - ASCP - ASCP, Must obtain within one year

Responsibilities
- Assists with research, development, and/or validation of new policies, procedures and/or instruments.
- Manages stock levels, rotation, and monitors expiration.
- Performs laboratory procedures and calculates, transcribes and records test results.
- Prepares and manages specimens for analysis, refers results to Pathology, correlates results and communicates and documents findings.
- Performs Manual Result Review and proficiency testing.
- Performs maintenance procedures on laboratory instruments and/or equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
