Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of medical / clinical work experience in oncology and phlebotomy.
  • Experience in a laboratory setting highly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with computer software programs including Electronic Medical Record (EMR) programs.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings as well as training sessions.
  • A valid Florida Driver License for travel to clinics is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, specimen processing, following laboratory assay instructions, phlebotomy, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assess research laboratory kits supply requirements for clinical trials.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of trial supplies for research patient care.
  • Performs phlebotomy, ECG and vital signs independently.
  • Completes laboratory procedures and processing of labs including shipping.
  • Assists the Research Coordinators and Manager with duties that include, but are not limited to, filing, collecting data from outside sources, checking and maintaining DDU equipment, and maintenance of the laboratory and supplies.
