About The Position

Carolina School of Phlebotomy is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Assistant Instructor to join their Faculty. This role is for an experienced Clinical Laboratory Assistant or a laboratory professional with similar skills and training who enjoys sharing knowledge and skills with others in a joyful, fast-growing educational organization. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience as a laboratory assistant or similar/more advanced practice (MLT, Lab Tech, Phlebotomist with processing experience, etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Authorized to work in the US

  • Process Oriented: Understand there is a reason for specific procedures and processes and make sure to follow them.
  • Receptive: Willing to ask for help when needed. Accept feedback openly and be able to learn and grow from it.
  • Previous teaching experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lecture on specified content utilizing the school’s textbook.
  • Administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus.
  • Lead hands-on skills labs, including skill demonstration and student feedback.
  • Maintain accurate student records and paperwork including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct in class, and recording and reporting of grades.
  • Complete tasks required by the beginning of a class session including handling of student payments and accepting of student documentation.
  • Practice within the rules and regulations of the school and the state in which the school is located with regard to policy.
  • Follow the curriculum, as set by the Ohio School of Phlebotomy and approved by the state in which the school is located.
